My Story

Originally from Ohio, I moved to New York City and began my professional career as a dancer and figure skater, starting at Radio City Music Hall and then traveling to numerous cities including Las Vegas, London, Milan, Rome, Geneva, Tokyo, and Saudi Arabia, culminating with the international tour of the roller-skating musical Starlight Express in Japan and Australia .

When not on the road performing, I worked in the catering industry and rose through the ranks of event specialization. Upon retirement from the stage, I transitioned to a full-time career in special events. With my talent in the performing arts, business acumen, driven personality and innate creativity, I quickly found myself a sought after-producer.

For five years, I served as the Director of Special Events for the LGBT Center, followed by eight years specializing in corporate events. With more than 25 years of development and production experience, I now dedicate my skills to the nonprofit community.

My production expertise includes events such as:

  • Gala benefits with stars from Broadway, television and film including Alan Cumming, Gloria Estefan, Whoopi Goldberg, Tamron Hall, Rosie O’Donnell, Bernadette Peters and Al Roker.
  • “K9K” dog walks across the Brooklyn Bridge for the Animal Cancer Foundation.
  • Outdoor fundraisers for 4,000 guests on the beaches of Fire Island.
  • Live fashion shows at Grand Central Terminal, featuring couture creations made from fresh salad ingredients.
  • Nine consecutive “Miscast” Galas for MCC Theater, featuring a multitude of Broadway stars.
  • The live world television broadcast of the “ball drop” on New Year’s Eve in Times Square

A personal passion of mine has always been Lighting Design and Direction.  Lighting can affect the mood, energy, passion and comfort of your guests and enhance (or not) their event experience and subsequently, their impression of your organization.  Unlike a traditional theatrical event, fundraisers rarely have the time or budget to install, program and cue a one-night event.  I've learned how to make the most effective use of in-house fixtures or a small lighting package to create impactful "looks".  Sixteen fixtures can go a long way when thoughtfully used.  And after all, the "world's fastest dimmer" is simply unscrewing that overly bright light bulb!

Currently, I am the Production and Lighting Director for Ice Theatre of New York, with whom I continue my ice dance training. I am a four-time Gay Games Gold Medalist in Free Dance and will be aiming for my fifth win in Barcelona, Spain in 2026

My diverse experience has given me a personalized, unique approach to the needs, and importance, of nonprofit event production and development.
